Article 1. (Purpose of Handling of Personal Information)

① Grand Korea Leisure Co., Ltd. handles personal information for the purposes below. Personal information handled are not used for any other purposes. When the purposes are changed, necessary actions such as acquisition of consent will be taken in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

  • 1. Personal information is handled for the purpose of checking one’s intent to join as a member, identifying and authenticating members for membership services, maintaining and managing members, verifying one’s identity according to the limited personal identity verification system, preventing illegal use of services, checking consent of a legal representative when handling personal information of a child below 14 years of age, making announcements and notifications, and handling grievances.
  • 2. Personal information is used in order to handle civil complaints, such as identification of a person who has filed a complaint, details of the complaint, contact information for investigation, and notification of settlement results.

  • ① The Company handles and retains personal information for the period of use and retention of personal information in accordance with the relevant legislation or for the period of use and retention of personal information to which the subject of personal information has agreed at the time of information collection.

① Grand Korea Leisure Co., Ltd.only handles personal information of information owners within the scope specified under Article 1 (Purpose of Handling Personal Information). Personal information is provided to third parties only if the information owner agrees and the case falls under special legal regulations such as Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

② The Company sets out not only the objective of entrusted works in an entrustment agreement or other such documents, according to Article 26 of the Personal Information Protection Act, but also prescribes responsibilities, such as prohibition of personal information processing, technical/administrative measures for protection, restrictions on re-entrustment, management and supervision of contractors, and compensation for damage. In addition, the Company supervises the contractors so as to ensure safe processing of personal information.

③ In accordance with Article 26(6) of the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), When an entrusted party intends to re-entrust the Company’s personal data processing tasks, it must obtain prior consent from GKL.

④ Change in entrusted works or contractors will be forthwith disclosed according to this Personal Information Policy.

Article 5. (Rights and Obligations of Subject of Personal Information)
  • ① Information holders can exercise their rights to view, correct, delete and suspend handling of personal information with Grand Korea Leisure Co., Ltd. at any time.

Article 8. (Procedure and Method of Personal Information Destruction)

① Grand Korea Leisure Co., Ltd. destroys personal information immediately when it becomes unnecessary due to expiration of the possession period and accomplishment of the purpose.

② If personal information needs to be preserved in accordance with other laws despite expiration of the possession period agreed by the information holder or accomplishment of the purpose, such personal information (or personal information file) is preserved by transferring it to a separate database or relocating to a separate storage place.

③ The procedure and method of destroying personal information are as follows.

    • Grand Korea Leisure Co., Ltd. establishes a plan to destroy personal information (or personal information file) and destroys it accordingly. Article 13 (Standards for Additional Use and Provision of Personal Information)
  • Grand Korea Leisure may additionally use or provide personal information without consent of the information subject by considering Article 14-2 of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act pursuant to Article 15 Paragraph 3 and Article 17 Paragraph 4 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

Article 14 (Possibility of Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information and Methods for Non-disclosure)
  • ➀ GKL may process sensitive personal information of data subjects in the course of providing goods or services.
  • ② “Sensitive personal information” refers to personal data that is likely to infringe on the privacy of the data subject, such as health information or political opinions.
  • ③ GKL limits the processing of sensitive personal information to the minimum necessary for business purposes and endeavors to process such information safely, including de-identification, to minimize the risk of disclosure.
  • ④ Data subjects may prevent the disclosure of sensitive personal information by adjusting settings, such as choosing non-disclosure when posting on bulletin boards.
Article 15 (Management of Audio and Video Recordings of Civil Complaint Consultations)
  • ➀ To protect complaint-handling officers (hereinafter “civil complaint officers”) from unlawful acts or obstruction of official duties by complainants during the complaint-handling and response process, and to create a safe working environment, GKL records audio and video of complaint consultations.
  • ② When conducting audio/video recording for the protection of complaint officers, advance notice is provided through the following methods. However, in emergencies such as when abusive language or violence has occurred or is imminent, recording may proceed without prior notice.
  • ▶ For telephone consultations, a call connection tone or prior notice informs the complainant that the conversation is being recorded.
  • ▶ For in-person consultations, notices are posted and advance notice is provided at the start of the meeting.
  • ③ Recorded audio and video files (hereinafter “recording files”) from complaint consultations are safeguarded through security measures such as access control and password protection to prevent unauthorized access.
  • ④ Data subjects may request access to the recording files of their own complaint consultations. However, such requests may be denied where disclosure is likely to infringe upon another individual’s privacy, confidentiality, or freedom, taking into account the content and circumstances of the recording.
  • ⑤ In accordance with Article 4 of the Act on the Handling of Complaints and Article 4 of its Enforcement Decree, recorded files of complaint consultations may be submitted to the competent investigative authority or court without the complainant’s separate consent, for purposes such as filing criminal charges in relation to extraordinary complaints.
